Building Futures Together

8th RESI Conference in 6-9 May 2024 at University of Mosul

STUDENTS SPEAK UP. ACADEMICS AND STAKEHOLDERS LEARN AND SUPPORT! A UNIQUE INTERDISCIPLINARY INTERGENERATIONAL DIALOGUE.

Collective action and cooperation are needed to address the pressing challenges facing our world today. We need new partnerships that allow for a deeper understanding of the multifaceted nature of these challenges, and that take a global perspective while recognising the importance of local context and engagement. But how can we be more inclusive, crossing geographical, generational and social divides? How can we ensure the participation of people from diverse backgrounds and perspectives, and actively work to overcome historical divisions and injustices? And how can we facilitate dialogue and exchange to deepen our understanding of the complexities and identify potential avenues for collective action?

Your ideas are needed! Join the RESI Student Conference!

The Rethink Education and Science in Iraq Student Conferences are week-long extracurricular events for university students, academics and civil society to engage in interdisciplinary dialogue and exchange on the challenges of reconstruction and reconciliation in post-war Iraq. The next RESI conference will take place on the campus of Mosul University from 6-9 May 2024. Students, academics and members of civil society will work together to review scientific evidence and develop ideas on how everyone can contribute to improving the quality of life in Iraq. The results will be exhibited and discussed for possible applications and policy considerations with the university presidency, professionals and policy makers in a large public conference event.
